Covid-19 Policy
Updated Covid Policies:
We are so fortunate to be learning in person during these unprecedented times. Gratitude and appreciation goes out to all of you for your efforts and courage to make this happen! We hope and pray that we will continue as well.
Yachdav is working in conjunction with a team of medical professionals to help us implement the CDC recommended guidelines for all COVID related policies. We will continue to monitor all CDC regulations and update our policies if necessary.
Your continued partnership is critical to help us continue to keep our students and staff healthy so our school can remain open physically.
With the start of winter and rising cases in the community we have updated some of our policies. Below are some of the changes.
If your child has the following symptoms please keep them home until your child/ren is cleared by a doctor with a doctor's note or received a negative COVID test.
If a child is not feeling well with any of the following symptoms at Yachdav they will be isolated with a staff member and need to be picked up right away. They cannot return to the program until the child is cleared by a doctor with a doctor's note or received a negative COVID test.
COVID SYMPTOMS:
-
Fever or chills
-
Cough
-
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
-
Fatigue
-
Muscle or body aches
-
Headache
-
New loss of taste or smell
-
Sore throat
-
Congestion or runny nose
-
Nausea or vomiting
-
Diarrhea (for babies and toddlers - 3 loose or watery stools in a 1 ½ hour period of time. For older children if they have increased stool frequency and/or looser stools than the child’s baseline)
▶ Step 1 - If your child has any of the above symptoms please let the school know right away by calling or emailing Nechama at 4259858996 Nechama@chabadissaquah.com
▶ Step 2 - Please reach out to your medical professional and take the child/children with symptoms to get a COVID test or clearance from a doctor. Your child will only be allowed back to the program with a doctor's note (it can be emailed, mailed or faxed) or a negative COVID test. Here is a great video to help our children get ready for testing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCIDZ9DsaKU
▶ Step 3 - If your child/children with symptoms test negative; please send them back to Yachdav only after 24 hours and their symptoms have greatly improved without any medication like Tylenol or Advil.
If your child comes back to the program when they are still infectious (with a different virus) it will lead to a classmate contracting this virus and necessitating them to stay home and go for testing as well.
▶ If a child becomes ill while at Yachdav he or she should be picked up within 30 minutes of when the message is sent or phone call received.
▶ Children cannot return to the program until the child is cleared by a doctor with a doctor's note or received a negative COVID test.
Where can I get tested? You can get tested through your family physician or you can find a Covid testing site close to you. Allegro Pediatrics now offers rapid testing (when available) so your child can return to school promptly. https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/health/covid-19/care/~/media/depts/health/communicable-diseases/documents/C19/community-health-center-testing-locations.ashx
