Yachdav Young Leadership
#YYLC A project of Chabad of Central Cascades

“YYLC” is a youth leadership club for Jewish teen’s of Israeli and American families living in Issaquah, Sammamish, and Snoqualmie Communities.

“YYLC” is committed to creating an inclusive and nonjudgmental environment for all families regardless of background or personal religious beliefs.

“YYLC” is not your typical “tween/teen club”. We’re able to give your child a more lasting experience that he/she will find extremely fulfilling.

They’ll leave our program with pride in becoming a powerful Jewish adult, an understanding of their future potential and with messages of empowerment that they’ll keep with them throughout life.

Our members will engage in community building and creating bridges.

During the course of the YYLC year, they will meet other Jewish friends their age in this area. They will enjoy events and programs together.

FAQ:

How often do we have events?

We offer an event about once a month (free to all members) These events typically include a fun activity, game, outings, inspiration, and great discussions.

YYLC members have the opportunity to host an event (game night, movie night, Challah Bake, etc) Thus ending up with 2 fantastic meet up's a month!

What will we do at our ‘Agenda’ meetings?

Leadership, problem solving and goal setting are some of the skills we train our youth for. Before Holiday’s, we get together to discuss and plan upcoming community events. We learn how to brainstorm and plan for events and programs starting from point A and how to execute the plan.

Are there volunteer opportunities we can get community service hours for?

Yes! We give the opportunity to engage in volunteer programs with seniors and special needs members. (you can decide if you'd like to have these visits weekly, biweekly, or monthly) and collaborate with other community non profits who can use our service.

We also have Community Holiday Event’s they can participate in and gain extra volunteer hours.

Is there a membership fee?

Yes. We ask for $180 for the whole year. This includes the fee for the wonderful activities and outing's we do, food we serve at each event and other expenses. (Due to covid, this year we will have a pay by event only)

  • Teens have the option to host an event. Hosting includes providing the activity they will be doing and some snacks and drinks. Please be in touch with Chani if you would like to host!
